Falling in love with your favorite characters!

I was just randomly browsing over my YouTube feed when I got a recommendation for scenes from an old show – Left Right Left.

Wait. Before we go ahead… a fair word of caution! In the below paragraphs, we are going to discuss a lot of characters from several shows. If you know Left Right Left, you would know most of the other shows. There are some English series too. But no worries. We will just discuss characters and nothing about the story.

Left Right Left is a pretty complex show. I would not be able to tell you much about it even if I wanted to. But what I want to tell you is about the character of Major (I hope it was Major) Rajveer. Sigh. He was just so DREAMY! He was calm, composed, heroic, showed chivalry and courage, funny, sexy, handsome and always so kind with everyone especially the leading lady. How could you NOT fall in love with him?

Well, I was revisiting these and other *censored* thoughts in my head being nostalgic over the video when I thought about the other characters I am absolutely in love with. Arent two things common with all those characters and even the other potential characters whom I havent discovered (or not seen in the correct light) –

• They were all really kind to the leading lady
• They are sexy as hell.. mostly well dressed too!
• They are either good or bad but turning good or shown to be actually good later

Thinking further on these lines, I am pretty sure that this is intentional. These characters are created and developed over the time for the female audiences to really fall in love with them.

So here I am, listing all the characters that I could remember that I am deeply in love with.

Dean Winchester – well, I would not say that he is a new love but recently (in the Series Finale) I realized how much I was madly in love with him. After they ended the series pretty badly, I went into depression. Now I am fine but I have developed an infinite dislike for nails or incomplete building repair work. Trust me, it’s annoying. Anyways, Dean is shown as sort of a rebel who has past issues. But his heart is always at the right place. He places family above everything else and he is amazingly superb at his job. And I should probably not mention it but I still am mentioning, he probably has the most raw appeal amongst all the other characters that I am in love with. His style and the way he looks at you like he could see right inside you – wow! The way he would talk – all intense and then you catch him off work and he is a small kid at heart – wow squared!

Rajveer Singh Shekhwat – he is certainly not number 2 on the list but since the article started because of him, I feel he needs to be mentioned here. He is soft spoken, calm, cute, sexy, looks amazing when he smiles, has two intoxicating eyes, carries himself around with style and poise, has a deep and great soothing voice, he knows how to talk to women, is patriotic, is brave, is courageous and with all this, shows love and dances! Who would NOT fall for him? Do I really need to say anything apart from the above?

Amarendra Baahubali – this is my number 2. He is brave and fun and madly in love. Which girl would not want someone to be madly in love with you? He is a warrior, a prince, highly trained militant, loved by so many, educated, brave and yet he finds so much love for you! He is just a dream! He makes you feel safe and invoke so much love in your heart. He is so secure with his accomplishments that he never belittles you and instead motivates you to do better. He trusts you and sees the best in people! He is THE dream.

Maan Khurana – I thought Maan was a phase but no, he is definitely on the list a big time. I used to watch Maan when I was in college and indeed we all used to call the show ‘Maan’ instead of ‘Geet’. He was handsome and shown to be someone who would be feared but then he had so much love for his leading lady. He went against all odds to support and empower her and to stand with the correct thing. He never hid from being wrong but rather owned it and made amends. He was rich and definitely knew his work. He would make you feel so secure and loved. How could you not love him back? And in general I love the color purple but I guess I love every color on him. He was just so wow!

Mayank Sharma – Maybe you might not recognize him with the name but this is from Miley Jab Hum Tum. Mayank’s character arc is what makes you love him more. He is already shown to be intelligent and wise. But then he becomes romantic. The amazing part here is that while Mayank becomes romantic but he doesnt stop being intelligent. I mean that the arc of how a nerdy person makes space for love in his life is beautiful!

Well there are several other characters – The world renowned McDreamy, for instance. I also have other characters which I love but just not in same capacity maybe – Richard of FRIENDS, Chandler of FRIENDS, Sherlock of Sherlock, Severus Snape, Voldemort.. and others. Either I love them in a different way or they have been very new additions to the list.

Anyways, what I realized is that I do love the above mentioned characters with all my heart and soul. But I was meant to love them – they were written in the way that one would fall in love with them. However, I do not love these actors. I certainly do respect them and love them in a way for bringing life to these characters but I never love them in the same way. Instead, there are actors I do not want to see from their personal life as they give me bad visuals for my beloved character. I know these characters are not recent. This is because I have stopped watching television for a really long time. But I am sure, we still have characters like this written explicitly for this purpose!
