Python and the Boa Constrictor

I had a real weird day at work yesterday. I am stuck doing this piece of code that simply refuses to get into my head. I also have this deadline before which I need to complete the code and deliver since I will be on vacation next week. To add to all this, there are other things in Python that I want to try out and simply not getting sufficient time to do so. This time crunch has been running for over a week now.

Sorry – I am not complaining.. this is something I can manage. What I cant is – while I am busy with my Muggle things, something so huge happened in the Wizarding World!!!

As per wiki, blood malediction is a lifelong, debilitating and sometimes a fatal curse.

In the Cursed Child (yes! I like that one as well – it brings back Snape, even if for a moment), Astoria Greengrass, Draco’s wife, is affected by a sort of blood-curse which arose after generations. She was frail due to the same and finally died.

I came across the term through the snapshots of Jo’s tweets shared by a friend in a HP group. I was between an intense workout and I had to stop to see the trailer first hand to believe.

Ever since that moment when I clicked on the link, till now, I am not able to get a hold of things. Like for less than 12 hours, I had some Muggle crisis to look into and we came across a whole new sort of creature and important facts regarding a horcrux. Neville became an assassin. Some other facts like Voldemort fed on Nagini’s milk.

Okay – all this is simply too much!!

Lets start at the beginning –

1. The posters released are simply WOW!! They are too cool and mysterious – all at once!!

2. How come we make the alpha maledictus?

3. How long is an average age of a Maledictus?

4. When the Maledictus is already inflicted with a blood-curse, how come it can also be a horcrux ?

5. Why this particular Maledictus has special affinity towards the darker arts?

6. How come Dumbledore never noticed that same Nagini had been with Grindelwald as with Voldemort?

7. Maledictuses can choose to be whichever animal? I mean something like a patronus – different for each one or the animal is chosen by the castor of the curse?

Some other disturbing questions –

1. What else all is Jo hiding for the past two-three decades?

I mean the journey started in the cupboard under the stairs and we then got 7 books and two suplementaries. After everything got over, we got the tale of Beedle and the Bard. Then came Pottermore with lot of stories and back stories and facts. Then came the controversial Cursed Child which brought Delphi, Albus Severus, Severus, alternate realities and other things. Then we got the too awesome to be true – Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Part 1. With that we got MaCUSA, Obscurials and Nifflers! (And a lot more)

Also – how or why is Dumbledore seeing Grindelwald in the mirror? I really wanted it to be Ariana. Seeing Ariana meant that Dumbledore knew he couldn’t be trusted with power. Yes, people yearn for love and even though I don’t approve of Grindelwald as the correct choice for Dumbledore, I am still coping up with it. However – the mirror of erised should be socks or Ariana! End of discussion!

Oops!! I totally forgot to mention – this article contains spoilers for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and the final trailer for Fantastic Beasts and where to find them – Crimes of Grindelwald!

Ps: Fish I just read Credence is Leta Lestrange’s half brother! Fish! Fish! Fish! That is fish onto a totally different level Fish!

Waiting for November 16 😉
